Are dogs allowed?

Please note dogs (unless they are assistance dogs) are not allowed in the Castle and due to the falconry experience we cannot allow dogs in the main gardens as they can frighten the birds.
Dogs are welcome in the car parking field and there are numerous footpaths in the local area which are ideal for dog walking. Please keep dogs on the footpaths, under close control and always on leads around livestock.
You are welcome to fill water bowls using the tap adjacent to the public conveniences.

Are there parking facilities?

Yes, there is paid for parking opposite the castle entrance

Are there any disabled toilets?

There are no disabl;ed toilets in the car park or the castle due to access restrictions.

Are Historic House members allowed free access?

Yes. Please add in your membership number at checkout to obtain a free ticket for access or show you card on arrival on your chosen date to enjoy free access. Please check the website when you are planning your visit because we occasionally close for weddings.

Do you allow Blue Badge holders free access?

We allow any carers in free of charge. The person they are caring for is charged our usual admission price.
