Would 1000% recommend!
Such an amazing day out!! Beautifully preserved old castle, with lots of very interesting facts clearly signposted throughout the visit. Lots of animals as well with bird demonstrations (owls/a raven flying around while a talk is given for each bird) and wild boars (with a feeding time for them as well that you can go and see). Tea room was also gorgeous, love the fact is was in keeping with the older style and not just a modern room.
Tickets were also very reasonable with how much there is to see and do, and thank you for being the first place in our whole holiday where the 17 year old in our party actually counts as a child ticket!!!

– the wonderful Alice -> such a fun and lovely person leading all of the talks/activities – archery talk/having a go (so much fun!), both bird flying demonstrations, wild boar feeding
– I didn’t catch his name but the man who led the armory talk -> another wonderful member of staff at the castle who gave a thoroughly informative and enjoyable talk :)) awesome getting to hold actual medieval weapons and see how armour has developed across the centuries
