It was a great day at a beautifully preserved castle.
Me and my wife visited with my elderly in laws at the start of August. We had an amazing time, and the imposing sight of the castle greets you when you approach. The surrounds are well kept, and the gardens are beautiful with vineyard, herb gardens, and a maze. We went to both birds of prey displays and were captivated and entertained at both. The tour guides were welcoming and obviously well educated on the castle and History of Mary Q of Scots. Lots to see and do if you walk around unguided, too. The visit was brilliantly finished off with a feeding of the boar. A great day out!
