We visited Castle Bolton for the Re enactment weekend on Saturday. Although the weather was wet at times this did not dampen our experience and thoroughly enjoyed our day.
I would like to say what brilliant staff you have working there especially in the tea room and this is my main reason for the review.
The Cornish pasties made by your Cornish lady were delicious. I don’t eat meat and Annie said that she would make me one with cheese. I felt so special that she had gone out of her way to do this. Annie came out of the kitchen to make sure it was OK. OK. It was fabulous. We ended up taking more pasties home for the family Annie is a credit to your staff and I hope she is recognised for this act of kindness. You definitely had the A Team working that day
Really interesting to see the extensive ruins along side the bits with the roof on. Outstanding views from the battlements, worth the climb.
Excellent explanation of what each area/room was for. NT could learn from them.
Loved the gardens too.
And the teashop was brilliant..best Battenburg cake ever.
