Race HQ
Race HQ is Bolton Castle, nr Leyburn, North Yorkshire, DL8 4ET
There is an impressive Tea Room at Bolton Castle for spectators.
If entering or leaving Bolton Castle after 11am, please use the road from the east via East Lane and Hargill Lane from Redmire. This reduces the amount of traffic on the course.
Car Parking
Car parking is available at Bolton Castle. Please use the main and overflow car parks which will be signposted and marshaled. Please be respectful of the local population when parking. Do not park in the village itself, or on the village green, and do not block driveways or other access. Please do not park on the race route, especially the road up the hill towards Bolton Castle (Castle End and Scallow Bank Lane).
Car parking is also available at Redmire Station (DL8 4ES), thanks to the support of Wensleydale Railway. It is less than a mile to Race HQ from here. If supporters will be coming and going during the race, we recommend they park at Redmire.
Car Sharing
We are keen to minimise the carbon impact of our event. If you wish to car share, consider joining our MaD Runners facebook group where you can link up with others traveling to the event
