Want to experience a brilliant spooky experience for all the family this Halloween? Then we’ve come up trumps for keeping everyone entertained with our ghostly goings on at Bolton Castle. Enjoy spooky storytelling in the Great Chamber, with Grumpkins for smaller children at 10.30am and 1.30pm, and ghoulish storytelling for older children at 11am and 2pm. Our storytelling days are 24th, 25th, 27th, 28th, 30th and 31st October. Storytelling is included in the entry price but we ask you to please book ahead. The castle has some stories to tell, let your little ones and older children enjoy our tales of spooks and kooks!
Flickering candlelight transforms the castle on our ‘Castle by Lanternlight’ evening on Monday 25th and Saturday 30th October. Bring on the medieval, and hear all about the castle and its mysterious goings on with our knowledgeable tour guide from 6pm until 8pm – all told by lanternlight as you tour the castle. The evening closes with a glass of wine while you sit by the fire for more tales and chat to get you into the spirit – no pun intended! Tickets cost £20 per person. Booking essential.
