Bolton Castle Halloween Special.
Come and enjoy a spooky Halloween at Bolton Castle.
There are a range of experiences suitable for the whole family. Follow the trail around the castle courtyard and meet characters from its history; the creepy witches, the rats and bats, the headless man, and the pumpkins. There are many opportunities to be involved. Come already dressed in your Halloween outfit, or alternatively have a photo opportunity dressed as a witch or castle guard whilst you are here. Put yourself into the stocks and pillory, or dare you lift the coffin lid or go alone into the dungeon?
As a family, join the story tellers, Dave and Sue, and listen to the tale of Jenny and Eleanor. It will take you from the courtyard to the top of the tower, introducing people from 1399 up to the present day.
We’ve not forgotten the adults, either. Young people over twelve are also welcome. Join us in the evening for a unique lantern tour of the castle, followed by a candle lit meal in the Great Chamber, with the chance later to explore a little on your own; if you dare.
