Coriander (Coriandrum sativum)
Flowers: July. Height: 45 – 60cm (18 – 24in).
Coriander was introduced into Britain by late Bronze Age invaders.
Medicinal: Deters fever, cramps, sleeplessness and tuberculosis.
Culinary: Used to flavour soups and salads or mixed with Cumin and vinegar to preserve meat.
Magic & Myth: During the Middle Ages the seeds were considered a love potion.
