Bolton Castle will be re-opening on Saturday 11th July. Mindful of the government guidelines, we have made some changes to our visitor admission and flow around the castle to ensure our visitors can self-distance as much as possible during their time here. Please use the sanitiser as provided and check our new signage throughout your visit. Entry will no longer be routed through the Tea Room, but via the shop and the admissions desk. Within the castle we ask you to call ahead to visitors descending or ascending any narrow stairs. Exit will be guided through the Great Chamber. We will endeavour to enable our visitors to distance themselves, but please be aware that we may need to close the battlements and the stairway to the bedrooms if necessary. Your safety is our priority but we will do our very best to make your visit as easy and memorable as possible. Thank you for your patience during our closed period. The castle team looks forward to seeing you – we missed you!
